How this works

Ovulation typically occurs 14 days before your next period (not 14 days after your last one). Your fertile window is the 5 days before ovulation plus the day of ovulation itself — sperm can live up to 5 days, while an egg lives only 12-24 hours.

For most accurate prediction, track 3+ cycles to know your real cycle length. Ovulation prediction kits (OPKs) and basal body temperature charting confirm actual ovulation.
